Feeling Overwhelmed In Work And Life
Wednesday, March 17th, 2010I held a conference call this morning with twenty interesting, diverse, solo entrepreneurs, consultants and coaches. The hot topic for discussion was overwhelmed as “anticipate, suggest, many people feel tired and exhausted by the” too busy / Can not Stop Now “syndrome. Are you one of those people who do not seem to stop “doing?” I’m still not one who has not felt overwhelmed meet from time to time. As it rather uncomfortable, if not downright unpleasant, we tend to be regarded as negative and a weakness. We dare not admit that we are overwhelmed or dare to speak of feeling isolated and alone, exacerbated the feeling ignored. We refuse, we are often overwhelmed, because we do not know how to stop the frantic behavior led to this feeling. So we have nothing to do. Helping our employees, colleagues and friends often do not help us to stop congestion. Here are the results of research on “60 Minutes”, Americans have finally surpassed the Japanese in the number of hours we spend working – working up to 50-72 hours per week. Wow! Why we do this for us? Usually, this syndrome occurs in our profession, but may be as our private and family life, and it is often not. By focusing on projects often begin with good intentions, but we can easily and quickly be overwhelmed if we do not have a plan to minimize and balance of our work.
