Healthy Foods that Boost Your Brain Power

You learned how important your brain is in school and if that didn’t hammer the point home, your mom has yelled at for you for years telling you not to drink alcohol or do drugs because it kills your brain cells. On the other side of the spectrum, you may have heard that there are ways you can boost your brain power and promote good brain health. There are exercises you can do to stimulate your brain, but there is an even easier way to naturally boost your brain power and it all comes down to eating healthy.

Study after study has proven that consuming certain foods can make your brain healthier, which boosts its ability to keep your body functioning properly as well.

Foods to Eat

Fish. Your brain contains DHA, which is a form of omega-3 fatty acids and studies have shown that consuming the right amount of omega-3 fatty acids provides you with emotional balance and positivity. While it may put you in a better mood, researchers believe it also helps to prevent emotional problems as you age such as the depression and memory loss associated with Alzheimer’s. And one Harvard study showed that people who had higher amounts of omega-3 fatty acids in their diets were less likely to get Alzheimer’s.
