Saturday, March 20th, 2010Many of us are aware of the health benefits of certain foods like spinach and sweet potatoes offer, with our body. However, researchers are studying various foods in the constant search of food health and nutritional value. A couple of surprisingly healthy foods are tea, chocolate and fatty fish. Tea is one of the most beneficial beverages now available. Many people know that tea is rich in antioxidants and is beneficial for the heart. However, there are studies being examined speculate that tea reduces the risk of cancer and Alzheimer’s disease may be useful. So the first question you may have is, what kind of tea is the best and how do I drink? Each tea comes from the leaves of Camellia sinensis, is healthy for the body. It may be black, green or white tea. What do you want to do is boil water and a cup of tea. The iced tea and bottled tea is not really so rich and healthy than freshly brewed tea. The iced tea is usually diluted and bottled tea loses its effectiveness over time. So the best thing to do is to brew your own cup of strong tea. Another healthy food is surprisingly dark chocolate. They said that antioxidants found in dark chocolate may help reduce blood pressure. The chocolate must be at least seventy percent cocoa, to qualify as part of a healthy diet. However, it is also important to remember that dark chocolate is a dessert, and it contains an abundance of saturated fats and sugar, so it is important to limit each day a game. The latest addition to the list of a healthy diet is oily fish. Trout, herring, tuna, salmon, sardines and mackerel are all rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are known to lower cholesterol, prevent blood clots and reduce the likelihood of a heart attack. However, it is important not to eat these fried foods. Be sure you roast or broil your fish to win the most valuable nutrients. These foods are not only healthy but also delicious, so why not try and feel better your diet.
